4  Warnings
  1. Turbulance can be expected with a westerly wind.

  2. Bird hazard is assessed as seasonally high. The main hazard occurs during the months of May through August when nesting Terns colonise the vicinity of the aerodrome. During this period the highest area of risk is to aircraft on final approach to Runway 06.

  3. Ground falls away very steeply approximately 30 M beyond each runway end. Care should be taken to anticipate sudden wind changes which might result in a touch-down short of the thresholds.

  4. The runway surface is prone to moss growth and may be slippery in patches, particularly when wet.
